Kristen and Josh, I just discovered your web site and spent the last hour reading it and looking at the pictures. I didn't find out about what you guys were going through until just recently. (I must be wrapped up in my own little world.)I've been thinking about you ever since and wondering what I could do to help. I saw your picture in Wendy's today and wrote down the blog address. Please know you have been and will continue to be in my prayers. You are an awesome family. Your boys are adorable and congratulations on Eliza's safe arrival. Kristen, I love your mom and dad so much. They've been great friends as have Emily and William. Josh, I don't know your family, but if you're from Virginia they've got to be great, right!? Maybe I'll see you at one of the fund raisers, (or at the hospital lab or in Walmart, eh Kristen?) Hang in there. You are loved. Judy H. & Daniel

I want to express my thoughts of sincere gratitude to all in the Vernal/Roosevelt and surrounding communities in Utah, even in other States in this Great Nation, America, in which we all live in...each of your charitable thoughts & donations all in the spirit of brotherly/sisterly love has profoundly changed my life in ways that only strengthen my resolve to overcome this cancer by faith in Gods healing power through His Son Jesus Christ, and return this same service of love to my community.
Thank you Kristin for your example of love for our family in all that you have done and continue to do...contributing/sacrificing many long hours of your own family time because of the love you have for your friend, my wife - Kristen. I want to thank all of Kristen & my friends/ family who came together to help lift the burden of organizing and putting together her baby nursery, and countless other acts of kindness around the home. Please accept my sincere love to each of you and may Gods blessing be upon all who have participated in this miracle of Gods tender mercy for our family.
I Love You!
-Josh Baumgarten

All my thoughts and prayers are with your family. I know how hard the unknown can be, but be strong and cherish each and everyday together. I know from experiance because my daugher Makayla was diagones with a cancerous brain tumor on September 26th, 2009. They were able to remove most of the tumor, but we know some cells still remain. We followed the surgery with 6 weeks of radiation treatment everyday. We didn't know if she would live to see her second birthday, but I very happy to say she celebrated her second birthday Febuary 5th and is finally returning back to normal. She still has a long road ahead, but for now we live one day at a time and cherish each and everyday. If I can be of any help, even if you need someone to talk to please contact me. I don't want to publish my phone number, but if you have facebook look under Claudia Sims Sasse and contanct me that way. I will get you my phone number from there. Take care

"Angel" is an appropriate name for ALL who have been so kind and loving to help these wonderful kids. We, all the rest of their family, thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts. We all are praying for the best possible end to this nightmare. Vernal has to be one of the very best towns in the world, full of great people. -Grandpa and Grandma Kremin

My dear Kristen, the other daughter Melissa had as a best friend. What a wonderful example of faith and courage you have been. I hesitate to call you because you have enough to deal with, but check with your lovely mother frequently. Be assured of our prayers on behalf of all of you at this time. You are so sweet and precious...this is definitely NOT FAIR although I haven't heard you guys say that yet, so I will say it for you! There are such miracles all the time, we just have to be patient. I am a reader of the Apron Girls blog and linked here to your blog. We have been going through a similar whirlwind. My husband had surgery to remove a tumor last week and we just got the final patholgy report yesterday...cancer. A very rare form of cancer. We live in Nevada, but we are coming up to Huntsman in 2 weeks. As I read your account of your situation, I laughed and cried. What else can you do? A month ago, life was "normal"...busy with 5 kids, but "normal". Now, life will be a new "normal". You have an amazing attitude and I look forward to following your blog. It gives me hope.
P.S. My husband grew up in Vernal...maybe this is all Vernal's fault!
What can you say at a time like this except that we love you and are here for you. We admire your adorable family so much! You will continue to be in our every prayer! Your testimonies have built ours so much. I know the Lord will watch over you and bless as you go through this tremendous trial. We love you and are here if you need anything! Love Troy & Jenny Anderson

I've been sitting here trying to decide what to type. What do you say in a situation like this? We were sorry to hear about Josh but we know that everything happens for a reason, even if we don't know what it is. Your family will be in our prayers.P.S. Congratulation on the new baby girl! (almost)-Sam & Krista Taylor
How I look up to you and Josh. Wow! What strength you two have. I left church today with a better understanding of faith and I was so uplifted by your testimony and Josh's testimony. The spirit in that Chapel was incredible. You will continue to be in our prayers and please let me know if you need anything. Daysen always loves having friends to play with, so dont hesitate to call if you need someone to watch the boys. I know you have lots of family here, but I am just up the road and would love to help anyway that I can. -Kassi Luck
Josh & Kristen,
You are such an inspiration to the rest of us! You are in our thoughts & prayers DAILY. The twins would love to come and babysit your boys in our house or yours for free anytime! They have told us so many times how good they were and how much they loved babysitting them. We are here to help in any way we can. We love you and can't imagine the trials you are facing right now. In my mind, I keep thinking you are more worthy than the rest of us and the Lord trusts you immensely! We are ALL praying for you! Hang in there! Trust in the Lord and He'll get you through this. -The Rust Family
I totally agree with Jade and Kassi...the Spirit was so strong in Sacrament Meeting yesterday. It was definitiely a meeting to remember, my entire family was so touched (Brother Reynolds' horse story was great too!!) I didn't realize what a great writer you are. What a great medium to be able to express your thoughts and journal your experience. Thanks for allowing us into your lives. Remember, Maeser 7th Ward is here for you and your family!! -Amber

I have never ever ever felt the spirit like I did when you and Josh bore your testimonies in church today. What a gift you gave to me and my family. I wasn't looking forward to fast sunday today, but as soon as sacrament started I knew that I was there for a reason and it was so I could be strengthend. Thank you so much for that and PLEASE, if I can do anything to help I will drop what I am doing at be right there. -James and Jade Bethers

Josh & Kristen,
You, your boys, and both of your parents are mentioned every night by name from the mouths of my children during family prayers, and we all know Heavenly Father lends a special listening ear to those prayers offered by children. We plead for your health, we pray for your strength, and we pray for His mercy. We have complete faith that the Lord answers prayers! We love you so much and are ready to help at the first request - YOU are our focus and we are ready and anxious to work things around what YOU NEED. Please let us do whatever we can,
